03 Dec Top Landscaping Trends for 2020

According to online resources, such as Realtor.com, RealSimple.com, and BobVila.com, 3 top landscaping trends for 2020 include smart irrigation, personal space in a homeowner’s yard, and shades of blue throughout the landscape. At Zimmerman Contracting, we can help you with any or all of these landscaping trends. Our team has worked with multiple clients throughout South Carolina in order to complete these types of projects.

Smart Irrigation

Smart irrigation is something we think all our clients should really consider. If you do not have irrigation already, this is definitely a trend that will make your life easier. We can install smart wi-fi irrigation you can set on your schedule. Our product of choice is Hydrawise Smart Multi-Site Irrigation Management. We would be happy to assess your landscape and help you install a system when you are ready. This system is just what you need to keep your water bill down and for detecting any leaks right away.

Personal Space

A second landscaping trend this year that many homeowners are wanting… Personal spaces in their yard. This may include a small pergola, outdoor kitchen, or seating area within a limited space. Many homeowners are looking for a cozy, warm, and inviting area they can enjoy outside for their quiet “escape” time. Virtually, any small space can be converted into a personal space for anyone to enjoy. We would love to help you design and create something you will enjoy for many years to come.

Shades of Blue

A third and final landscaping trend we often see includes shades of blue incorporated throughout a yard or garden. Blue is very much “in” this year. It could be the color of flowers in a garden, the color of an outdoor area rug, or the primary color of outdoor furnishings (couch, love seat, etc.). Next time you are out, just look around at what you see in yards and gardens around buildings and homes. You should see what we mean!
